Preaching Water, Drinking Wine?

After correctly insisting on the resignations of government ministers implicated in the Anglo-leasing type scandals, shouldn't the ODM call upon Musalia Mudavadi and other ODM luminaries who have also been named as suspects to publicly put their presidential ambitions on hold till they are cleared of any wrongdoing? After all, this same group of politicians who supposedly place a high premium on the appearance of ethics and integrity in the public sphere. The ODM has promised not to not "interfere nor politicise" prosecutions made on the basis of law and order but has so far failed to require that the potential subjects of those prosecutions do the honourable thing. This do-as-I-say-not-as-I-do generation of politicians is just as bad as those they seek to depose.

This topic is timely! Kwani which corruption is not corruption? According to kenyan politicians, Corruption is not corruption when it is perpetuated outside the precinct of the govt.In other words, Ruto, Mudavadi and Kiai are not guilty of corruption because they are not in the govt. This is saddening especially now that it is evident that the orange euphoria might form the next govt. Kenya has stuck to the devil they knew (KANU & LDP) instead of the angel they were getting to know! 2008 will start another campaign environment with the 2007 loser telling Kenya, you see we warned you now see all the mess...But dont worry we are going to save you in 2012..and it will be an endless spate of politics year in year out -shunting the development strategies to the periphery! God bless Kenya!
